Your reconstruction pretty much puts a final point on my part to the question of reconstructing the fleet at Chesma. Especially the anka-i bahri and melik-i bahri are very illuminating.

After reading all our evaluations here once more, I wanted to carefully look to the plans of Peleng-i Bahri/Ioann Predtecha which was built also in the pre-reform era and no doubt very similar to those "kebir kalyons" in Chesma. It gives a clear picture to how to reconstruct the gun battery of ziver-i bahri, sebk-i bahri, peleng-i bahri (I) and ukab-ı bahri. Results as follows:

Peleng-i Bahri (II) has 32 gunports on LD (28 broadside guns and 4 stern chasers), 26 on UD and 8 on QD, a total of 66 gunports. I take that Peleng-i Bahri (I) had a similar configuration. So with all gunports armed, she could take 6 x 1-kantar, 22 x 9ky, 30 x 5ky (4 stern chasers), 8 x 3ky. However, we know that in Ottoman practice the first two gunports on each gundeck (from the prow) were left unarmed. if we apply that rule, she carries 20 x 9ky and 28 x 5ky for a grand total of 62 guns. Her ammunition at Chesma was at such:

300-44, 1000-9, 1400-5, 400-3

If I divide the number of guns as I constructed, into the number of their respective calibres of shots I find that to each gun there is exactly 50 rounds. This looks, as it started to emerge, as the accepted allotment of shots for each individual gun on Ottoman warships.

I think we finally reached to a point of certainity.
